Just Another Manic Monday.

New series of One Tree Hill starting Monday.
EEEEEEEEEE!
Its very sad how excited i am, but i am tooooootally addicted to this show.

The Season Finale of 90210 was on last night, but i was quite disappointed if i'm honest.
There was no ambiguous ending, i was definitely not left on tenterhooks, and i thought it was the crappiest episode of the season. It was so full of drama, but there was so much going on, that i got a bit confused, also things were a teeensy bit unrealistic. I mean, come on, as if Liam wouldn't click that Jen was Naomi's sister. And why the hell would military camp people snatch him out of his bed in the middle of the night? Don't get me wrong, i love drama, but this was all a bit far fetched, even for me.

So, yesterday.
Lazed all day with The Boyfriend, pretty much (yes, he's back :D!).
Went to pizza hut with The Best Friend (mmm, stuffed crust with barbecue sauce, perfect.)

Am going shopping today, to buy some holiday things for France.
On the look out for a bikini, straw hat (looooove these!) and going to invest in loooads of those long t shirt things from Topshop.

All of these with my Havaianas = my holiday wardrobe sorted.

Ho Hum.

So, party Saturday.
Could not decide what to wear at all.

After raiding the wardrobe, i decided on my stonewash skinnies with nude wedges (made my legs look loonnnngggg!) and a side tied top.
Loved my outfit, but decided it was a bad idea when my left hip was freezing cold in the middle of the night.

Party was good, until things got a little messy between everyone.
Sleeping on laminate flooring with a dressinggown shared between three for a blanket however, was not fun.

Walking home in the morning in my wedges made them seem very silly indeed. Stepped off a kerb, forgot i had the things on, and tripped and cut my hand. Great.

Went to bed when i got home.
Woke up about 10.
Went to Homebase to get a present for The Nan's sixtieth (monday).
Had a barbecue.
Slept on the swing seat.
Got to The Grans, slept again.
Got home, about to go to sleep.

Some days just suck.

Thunder and Lightning :)

Worked yesterday, which was actually kinda fun, compared to usual.
Painted sheds, made tea, bagged nails. Great.
Went to Domino's after work to grab our tea.
Guy in Domino's had the most amazing dreadlocks and i decided that i am definitley getting them done (when my hair is a bit longer).
Can't wait!! :D

Got home, and The Mother and The Best Friend were waiting for us.
We then changed the rooms around in the house, ready for baby if we're not moved out by then.
Fiiiiinally sat down! My feet could not take any more, I'm not used to being on them alll day.

Discovered the Thunder and Lightning Storm outside the window.
Me and The Best Friend watched :)

The Best Friend went home.
I spoke to The Boyfriend, missed him muchly (again!)
And was left to sleeep, after what seemed like the longest day ever!

So excited for Dreads!!!!! :D:D

Back to work again today, after a visit to the dentist.
Luckily, i'm not scared of them.

It's raining now, i love a bit of rain.
Shame i can't stay in and watch it though.

Blonde vs Brunettes.

Yesterday,
Had a (sort of) lie in.
Went down The Nan's.
Went with The Best Friend and her brother to the cinema.
We watched Night At The Museum 2.
The Best Friend bought some clothes for our trip to France (20th July, woohoo).

TBF and I bought some hair dye.
She stayed over and we watched 27 Dresses (for the 2546472873646th time!).

This Morning.
After a night of waking up at different intervals, we finally got up at about half eight.
Dyed each others hair (mine is now a more vanilla shade, and hers a deep chocolate. Sweet).

Am loving my new lighter colour, called Champagne Blonde. Looks good with my lowlights.
Am loving putting my hair into little kiddie style pigtails. It's different.

Went to The park to meet The Gran, Auntie, and Cousins.
Got back by 3 to pick up The Best Friend's Brother from school, i was looking after him for the evening.
Had a Fab (the ice lolly).

Visited The Nan (again).
Watched the last Friends (cryed!)
Excited for Ugly Betty tonight!
Which i am off to watch now!

The Book That Changed My Life.

So, in the July issue of Elle, there was an article called, The Book That Changed My Life.
This included 25 men and women telling the magazine about the book that changed their life, and why.
This got me thinking about the book that changed my life, and settled on my favourite book of all time.

LEAH PAIGE WILLIAMS
LOVE ROSIE by Cecilia Ahern.
'This book follows the lives of Rosie and Alex, two best friends, from the ages of 6 till 50, through letters and emails. The way that the book is written gives it a personal quality, and throughout the story, you really get to know the characters. Ahern conveys emotion brilliantly tugging at all the right heartstrings. This book told me to trust my instincts, as they are usually right, even when you don't have any proof of how somebody else feels. It made me realise how much i love reading, and triggered my enjoyment of writing. The book was different to anything else i had ever read, and encouraged me to make my own writing and other hobbies individual. I would reccomend this to everybody, especially thoise lacking
optimism, as this book is proof that everything does happen for a reason.'
.
.
So, today. Got up, did not much.
Watched One Tree Hill with The Best Friend.
Looked through the new Joe Browns catalogue, lusted after some beautiful summer dresses.
Lazed all day, in my brand new hoodie, bought by The Mothers Boyfriend from The Bus Stop Over (a Volkswagen Festival).
The Best Friend left, to babysit her brother, leaving me to write this.
90210 tonight!

Here, There and Everywhere.

Watched The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas on friday night.
Well.
Majorly upsetting, depressing and disturbing.
The acting was absolutely brilliant, by everyone, especially Asa Butterfield (Bruno) and Vera Farmiga (Mother).
They made it completely believable, and really upsetting at the time. Amazing.
I couldn't really watch all of it though, i hid behind my hands because of the sheer horrificness of what happened.
Even though i knew what happened in the war, seeing these terrible things on screen was all the more heartbreaking.

Anyway, onto a happier subject, saturday.
Was woken up by Cousin.
Went home and got dressed etc.
Went to Tesco to print off photo's for The Father and do some food shopping with The Mother.
Went to a Cousin's party.
Went to The Gran's and read ELLE.
Talked to The Boyfriend, missed him muchly.

Before i knew it, it was sunday.
Breakfast in bed (mmmm, marmite on toast with a cup of tea, and biscuitsss )

Got ready.
Had food (jacket potato and cheeeese :D ).
Went for a walk, and collected elderflower with The Gran.
Came home, and wrote this!

Invested in some of that new John Frieda Go Blonder shampoo. Hope it works!
Also, some of my favourite conditioner, Aussie Miracle Moist.
It really does the job for dry hair, makes it smooth and glossy.

Am loving the Confessions of an Elle Girl blog.

Also, loving my free Urban Outfitters bag with this months ELLE.

Soooooo tired right now!

Lazy Days (Kind Of).

Pretty lazy day to be honest.
Got up around ten (pretty late for me, i'm usually up by eight).
But seeing as i had been kept awake for a portion of the night with an annoyingly itchy foot(!), i thought it was okay.
I know its totally weird, but i could not sleep because it was sooo itchy!
In the end i had to get up and moisturise it because it was getting on my (very sleepy) nerves.
After getting up because of a knock at the door (baby monitor delivery), i got ready, just in time for One Tree Hill (the one where they finish high school). It was soooo sad! :(
Made me teary.

The Best Friend came over and we had a chat, ate chips from the takeaway and discussed our current clothing wishlists. Mine included the Criminal Damage Superman hoodie.
Also i am craving every piece of the Disney Couture range, especially the poison apple necklace.

Both from http://www.truffleshuffle.com/

Finally, i am desperate for a pair of jeggings.
They're just like jeans, but more comfortable. Genius.
Plus they'll go with everything.
I have my eye on a pair from Topshop.

So, we picked up The Best Friend's Brother from school, and she left him with me so she could go to work.
We played Scrabble.
Hoovered house and washed dishes for The Mother (i felt like being nice).

Am off now to The Nan's to spend the night, along with one of my many Cousins.

Photoshoot.

In the car early today, off to take photo's (of me, for The Father for fathers day).
Well, that was the plan anyway.

So, we got up and decided where to go (Tilebeda, a place in the next valley).
Got dressed, ready etc.
Left for photoshoot, and arrived at location.
The Mother got everything out of the car, and realised that she had forgotten the key ingredient - the camera.

Plans postponed.

The next thing on our list was to go and order the pram for The Bump.
So off we went to town, on a mission.
Arrived at Mothercare and purchased the Silver Cross 3D.
Then we had lunch in Aroma, our favourite cafe. They make the most amaaaaaazing cakes!
Beautiful.

So we got home, looked over the prints from the last photoshoot and grabbed them.

We made our way back to our location, and started over.
The lighting wasn't great, but we made the best of it with the help of the flash.
These are my favourites.

Photo's by www.Clairelouphotography.com

I fell back in love with this cardi again earlier, as i was a bit cold, and my grey hoody didn't contrast enough with the background. I swapped with The Mother, and this is now a big favourite in my summer wardrobe. From Joe Browns (2007).

Well, after that, we went to give The Aunty the prints of last weeks shoot.
She was more that pleased with them.
The cousin was wild as ever, and threw chocolate cake everywhere. I had to clean it up.
Got home and looked through the above photo's.
The Mother's Boyfriend got home with pizza for us (yummmmm!).
Am now off down The Nan's as she has some pieces for my Marylin Monroe costume (yes, the quest is still on).

The photoshoot managed to get my Converse's very muddy.
I decided to reinvent my favourite skinny jeans, as they had gotten a bit short. They are now flood length turn ups. A pretty cool combination if you ask me.

Rain! :D

Fiiiiiinally had a good sleep last night after having trouble with my post!
took me aaaaaaaaaaages to sort it out, and then i was shattered.

Woke up, on my own!
this morning.
About nine o'clock, so i had a sufficient amount of sleep.
Decided that me and The Mother would go down Bryngarw Park again (not to take photos this time though).

So i phoned The Gran and The Aunty to check what time we would meet them there.
They were bringing The Cousins :) .

Got ready (you already know the routine right?).
Decided that we would visit The Mother's Friend.
So, when we finally arrived at the park, it was absolutely hammering down with rain.
Umberella's at the ready, we braved the weather and ran to the cafe.
Cousins were wild as usual, and we had a lovely cup of tea. Cosy.

The Mother hates rain, and was really suprised that we actually enjoyed ourselves.
I on the other hand, love rain. Its just so cosy watching the droplets run down the windows.
So i was in my element.
Got home and planned lunch, but was interrupted by a phone call from The Best Friend, announcing a visit.
We picked up her brother from school (again) and The Boyfriend came to visit.
The Best Friend left, and The Boyfriend and I were left to shop online.
He didnt buy anything, just looked at these verrrryyy ugggglllyyy shorts.
With a little help from me, he saw sense.

Still no luck with the Marylin costume!
I'm keeping a look out though.

Food is almost ready!

Am finally in dry clothes, but the shoes and umberella are being left to drip dry.

How Words Are Made etc.

So, me and TBF were discussing yesterday how people invented words.
She seemed to think that " cavemen just went blokjwekqgrkgwrjbj the."
Who knows why, but she thinks that the was the first word invented.
This was not the main event of our day, but was one of them.
We picked up her brother from school, and decided that she was to stay the night with me.
Of course this meant that a film needed to be chosen (us being movie geeks and all).
We settled on The Edge Of Love, with Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller. A film about Dylan Thomas' life.
We watched 90210 first obviously.
The film was pretty good, although Sienna Miller's welsh accent was shocking!
Ah well, bless her for trying i guess.
So, this morning was not good.

You guessed it, got woken up early again.
But not The Mother this time, oh no, there was a knock at the door.
Sounds mysterious right?

I stumbled downstairs to open the door, and there was some bloke asking me to move my car.
I said i'd get my mum to move it.
So i reinstated sleep for all of five seconds, by this time, The Best Friend had left.
Another knock at the door.
The Best Friends Mother, wondering where TBF was.
I explained, and that was over with.
Reinstated sleep again.
Phone rings.
Up again.
Sleep was officially a thing of the past.

So the day started.
Breakfast, dressing, hair, make-up, tidying room (It was full of munchie wrappers. Films without food? What?).
Met TBF at surgery (Cervical Cancer jab).
Came home and watched One Tree Hill, the episode where Nathan gets found out for points shaving at the State Championships (yeah i know, i'm sad).
Then, i had a window of time, so i thought i'd call The Boyfriend, seeing as i forgot to phone him last night. I was apologetic for forgetting but was further informed that yesterday was in fact our anniversary (9 months!). So yeah, i basically felt like crap.
We arranged for him to come up.

Painted my nails blue (looks waaaaay cool!)

Went down the Rugby Field to enjoy the sunshine with The Boyfriend.

I Love Clothes :)

Got woke up early again this morning, due to my Grandma visiting, as she does every monday morning.
We discussed my need for a sun ray pleated skirt, for a fancy dress party i'm going to soon. I'm going as Marylin Monroe, so any suggestions for finding one would be huuuuuugely appreciated.
Not too expensive though, i'm not rich or anything.

So after the visit i set about tidying my room, getting dressed, doing hair etc.
My goldfish (Juliet, I had another one called Romeo too, but he was biting her, and made her get tail rot, so he's now living with my nan.) reeeeally needed to have fresh water, so i was in the midst of cleaning her up, when there was a knock on the door.
(Romeo & Juliet)
Now The Best Friend had phoned me last night telling me that she would be up mine about this time, so i immediatley thought it was her.
It was not her (my apologies, but it was something far more exciting).
I had ordered a dress and shoes the other day for an upcoming wedding and today they arrived, So Juliet was left in her temporary tank (a plastic lunchbox) while i went to open my parcel.
The dress is as beautiful as it looked on the website.

The shoes however are downright amazing, the colour is just delicious and they're just lush!!

Both are from ASOS.com

It's a gorgeous day, i really should get out and do something, but i'm yet to decide what.
i think i'll stay in and plan the rest of my outfit
i was thinking gold hoops and a long gold necklace, and i'll have to find a heavily embellished bag from somehwhere, any thoughts?
I got the munchies now.

The Weekend.

So, exams are officially over, school is officially finished (for me anyway).
The last day did not go off with out a hitch, did i ever really think it would?
Friday.
Well, the exam was moved backwards 35 mins, which wasn't exactly a great start.
i was getting picked up at 2:00, so due to our time change, i was already late.
Luckily for me, i have very reliable grandparents, so my lift was still available.
So, after getting back to their house, i realised i was absolutely shattered, but vowed to save it for the night, i'd be thankful in the morning.
Anyway, whilst they went out, i was left in charge of boiling the potatoes ready for them when they got back. "Put them on at six, and switch them off when you think they're done."
Turns out that my tiredness would not hold off until the night, so i decided to have a ten minute 'power nap'
Of course there was no need to set an alarm, i wasn't going to sleep that deeply, i was just resting my eyes.
Wrong.
Ten minutes was actually 1 hour and 40 mins, so that was that for the potatoes.
So when bedtime finally arrived, (half nine, 'cause i really was that tired) i found that i wasn't tired at all. Oh no, not an ounce of sleep in me.
three hours passed before i felt an inkling of tiredness.
i snatched this inkling with both hands, and drifted off.
Saturday.
The plan was, to spend a couple of hours with The Boyfriend, then go down to town, to meet with The Best Friend, when she finished work.
This all went to plan, and me and The Best Friend had some dinner at Pizza Hut. In doing this, we decided that we would go out with everyone for a bit.
The night was quite eventful, The Best Friend breaking up with her boyfriend. But we left in the end, to catch up on sleep for the morning.
Sunday.
Woke up in The Best Friend's about eight this morning, had a lift with The Mother's Boyfriend, TBF was dropped off at the Odeon, i went all the way to work, spent the morning putting nails (the cold metal pointy things) into plastic bags (not as riveting as it may seem). My fingers are now in pieces, and my mint green finger nails were not liked in the workplace, better luck with the next colour i guess.
This not-very-pleasant morning was followed by a surprisingly nice afternoon. Llantwit Major Beach awaited us as we made the most of a beautifully sunny afternoon.
Of course, as soon as we got there, i really had to pee.
So off i went, to the toilet block, only to find that the loo's were beyond disgusting. They smelled and looked horrendous, so i just walked straight back out.
After reading two particularly crap magazines from cover to cover, we were homeward bound, where i decided to write up this account.
So, i actually have no plans for the week, except for a Wednesday with The Boyfriend, there's not much in between.
Of course, Monday nights are spent watching 90210, but now that Gok's Fashion Fix has reached the end of the series, my Tuesdays are sorrowfully empty.
Also, i've been singing La Roux, Bulletproof all day, along with Empire of The Sun's We are The People. Both really great song's. My favourites of the moment. Jordin Sparks has also made a comeback in my favourites. I am definitley loving the colour and style of La Roux singer Elly Jackson's hair. Inspiration for my next salon visit...

Last Exam! :D

My last exam is at one o'clock, so after a month of the things, it'll all be over :)
so far the day is going pretty good except being woken up at seven thrity by a mother who "thought i wanted to go to school early".
I did not want to go to school early, i wanted to sleep.
So i tried resuming my snooze but to no avail.
And downstairs it was, for a cup of tea (my favourite beverage always!) and look at some more of the photos from Wednesday.
They really are gorgeous.
Plans for the day are;
have a nice relaxing bath (& try not to fall asleep)
do my hair, (preferably in a nice way, i dont want people at school remembering me as a scarecrow)
don my stripey tie for the last time (until september, obv)
Read, until i have to leave for school (Pride and Prejudice atm)

And, if i want to get all that in before half 11,
i'd better get going

From the Beginning.

From the beginning then yes?
Well, a brief overview.
So, in the world, there's a country called Wales.
In Wales, there is a city called Cardiff.
Just before this City, there is a town called Bridgend.
In the town, there is a valley, called Ogmore Vale.
so this valley, is where I live.
Well, actually, only half of the time, as my weekends are spent in the neighbouring valley, The Garw Valley.
Anyway, this is where I live with my Mum and her boyfriend (boyfriend makes him seem young i know, but partner sounds weird, so boyfriend it is, even though they're both 38)and The Bump.
Now The Bump is not some creepy horror story creature, its the name for the foetus in my mothers uterus.
Well it does have names (yes names, plural, we don't know the sex yet) but in case of family reading this, i am forced to keep quiet.
Other than The Bump, i am a sibling free zone, so you can imagine how surreal the situation has been, but i think i've adapted pretty well to be honest.
So i think this kinda brings us to the present day, i guess i'll go into more detail another time about the past, but for now, thats all.
So, present day;
i'll go from yesterday.
My mother is an ametuer photographer, so yesterday morning i was dragged out of bed to go with her to a nearby Park (Bryngarw, fellow south walians) to do a photoshoot for my cousin who is about 20 months? veerrrrry tired afterwards!
she managed to wear us all out (all being; Me, Mum, Gran, Aunty, Cousin - her name is Erin btw - and other cousin, Lewis.)but we got some great shots of her playing, posing, generally being a kid.
As yesterday was one of my rare days without an exam (yes i am a current victim of GCSE exam season) i had the whole day to generally do nothing, so a celebratory cinema visit was in order with The Best Friend (Hollie). This is not as amazing as it sounds for a two reasons;
1. Hollie works a the Odeon in Bridgend, so a huuuuuuge amount of time is spent there for both of us, cause we get free tickets (pretty cool huh?).
2. the film sucked. Last Chance Harvey, officially the crappest film i've seen this year, i would not reccomend it, to anyone, unless you want to laugh at the shockingly bad acting on Dustin Hoffman's part, and the even worse storyline. (storyline - total rip off of An Affair To Remember. Hoffman's acting? there are no words.)and if you must endure this movie? at least you can laugh at Hoffman's creepo smile (he looks like he has no gums, let alone teeth).
Now, inbetween this Cinema Trip and Photoshoot i was visited by The Boyfriend (Scott) who i guess i kind of bored with my getting ready to go out, especially since our wednesdays are usually spent together, again very sorry about the rescheduling!
Now, what about today? (yes there's more, they wont all be this long i promise)
well today;
had a Drama exam at 9:15 (Drama = favourite subject, along with English) which went pretty well in my opinion, i hope the examiner thinks the same...
after this i was picked up from school by my aunty, one Rebecca, so we could get our hair done, and i must say i'm pretty chuffed with it, but my roots are growing through, and i have to wait until july to have them done ;o!
will have to invest in some of that touch up stuff until then.
So, after keeping my cousin occupied for a few hours, with the help of Mr Tumble (thank you CBeebies) i was driven home, and here we are.
And in writing this thing, which is turning into a novel by the length of it, i have managed to miss The Big Bang Theory AND The Inbetweeners. Grrrr...
Oh well, bed for me now i guess.
'till next time x
